1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using pi-notebook, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Description of Service & Beta Status

pi-notebook provides an interactive workspace featuring AI-driven tutoring, checkpoint quizzes, and Markdown note management.

Because the service is currently in active beta development, features, APIs, and user interfaces may evolve rapidly. While we prioritize high availability and data integrity, the service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We recommend regularly exporting backups of critical notes.

3. Data Ownership & Storage

You retain all ownership rights to the original content, notes, and materials you create in your vault. Your vault files and session histories are stored server-side to provide cloud synchronization and persistence.

You may export your vault at any time in standard, non-proprietary Markdown format. You may also permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time via the Settings menu.

4. AI-Generated Output & Tutoring

The explanations, checkpoint quizzes, and synthesized notes provided by the AI tutor are generated by large language models. While designed to facilitate rigorous learning, AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, approximations, or inaccuracies. You are encouraged to critically verify mathematical proofs and technical claims.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to reverse-engineer our API endpoints, bypassing per-user rate limits, launching automated abuse, or submitting content that violates applicable laws or intellectual property rights.

6. Termination & Deletion

You may terminate your account at any time by selecting “Delete Account” inside your settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in malicious activity that degrades performance for other users.
